At a press conference, President Alphie announced the news of the construction of a new furniture factory and expressed gratitude to the president of Leaf for aiding in the technological development of Acorn and nurturing fraternal relations between the two species.
However, several thousand citizens of Travcica, the capital of the Republic of Acorn, protested today in front of the Acornian National Assembly building, expressing their dissatisfaction with the overall third investment that this city is supposed to receive from Leaf. The gathered citizens performed a protest choreography to the tune of "Up, Down" by the band "Branimir and the Insturctors," waving wooden shovels and shouting various cries. President Alphie, when questioned by a journalist from the Radio Television of Acorn about the citizens' protests, stated that the gathered individuals "have a democratic right to protest" and emphasized that he will continue to strengthen friendly relations with the rodent brothers.
